New Attitude, New Blog Hosting

I am in the process of transitioning my blog over to Wordpress. There have been several hiccups with Blogger lately that have kept me from being able to post. My new blog is at rondasramblings.wordpress.com. I will try to move all the posts from here over to there, but will be posting on the new site as of 1/2/2013. Thank you for following me here and please check out the new blog and follow me there.

New Year, New Attitude

I hate New Year's Resolutions!  I don't like to make them, I can't ever manage to keep them, and really don't like the feeling of failure that accompanies them when I don't follow through. For that reason, and due to the influence of several things I have been reading lately, I have decided that instead of a New Year's Resolution, I am going to attempt to change my attitude.  This will be the place that those changes materialize and get journaled so that I can track my progress through this change.
I see people around me who are so at peace with their lives and although they don't have things going perfectly all the time, they seem to be okay with it and able to deal with it.  This is not something that I have ever been able to understand or do, but one thing I have noticed about these people is an attitude of gratitude that permeates everything that they do.  This is what I would like to achieve.  I will start this year off with trying to change my attitude by listing the little things that occur that I am so grateful for.  I don't have any impressions that this will be perfect or that I will always have this blog up to date and positive, I do know that it will be a place for me to be real about what is going on and try to help myself be more positive about the things that go on in my life.
#1 - Lazy, rainy days
#2 - The love of animals
#3 - Modern Technology so I can keep up with friends and family
#4 - The laughter of kids playing in their blanket fort
#5 - The snuggles of a little boy before bed
#6 - The sweet sentiments of my big girl throughout the day
#7 - Home improvement projects completed
#8 - David getting the office 25% of the way painted
#9 - Increasing courage to go for it
#10 - A job to get up and go to tomorrow
#11 - The opportunity to spend the last 2.5 weeks home with the kids (for the most part)
11 things on the first day of the year is a pretty good start.  These aren't in any specific order of importance, just how they popped into my head.  That being said, I'm going to go snuggle up with my husband and head to bed.
